Which beach is better Varkala or Kovalam?

It is a difficult choice as both Kovalam and Varkala have a beauty and charm of their own. At the same time, Kovalam is a busy, clean coconut palm-lined beach, Varkala is a less crowded rocky beach with a spiritual side to it and many Ayurveda centres to relax and rejuvenate.
