All set for a family picnic? Why not visit the Trivandrum Zoological Gardens which is very much a part of the Napier Museum. The gardens also house a lake & Boat club & have an extensive collection of 35 species of animals, 28 species of birds and 17 kinds of reptiles from India, Ethiopia & Australia. The Zoo is one of the most popular Trivandrum attractions, and you can find animals like the Royal Bengal Tiger, Indian Rhino, Manipur deer, Asiatic Lion, Nilgiri Tahr, Lion-tailed Macaque, Nilgiri Langur and more here. Inside the Zoo, there are natural habitats of Zebra, Giraffe, Cape buffalo & the Hippopotamus. More than 200 species of trees, rare beautiful plants, orchids and a snake farm also can be found here.
